Sprengel’s Shoulder

Sprengel’s shoulder is a rare congenital disorder in which the shoulder blade (scapula) is too high on one side of the body. Sprengel deformity is a rare congenital disorder in which the shoulder blade (scapula) is too high on one side of the body.

Sprengel’s shoulder typically occurs for no apparent reason but maybe because of an interruption of normal development and movement of the scapula during early fetal growth.

Limited movement of the arm and shoulder blade on the affected side, and neck deformities are symptoms of Sprengel’s shoulder.
